Abstract

The article's purpose is to identify the different principles between the acting training in the American school system and the Romanian school system occurred because of the specific culture beliefs that both societies have on the mission of the actor and the theatrical arts in the world.

 

 

Author Biography

Ana Pasti, I.L. Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film, Bucharest, Romania

Ana Pasti is a PHD Student at the Acting Faculty, UNATC, Bucharest. Ana Pasti, a former undergrad UNATC student, is the first and only Romanian actress who won a Fulbright grant to study acting in US and to complete an MFA from USC, LA. In her home country she was a member of the Regional Repertory Theater, Tony Bulandra, hosted entertainment shows at TVR - the national public television, played in several A List Festivals features, a UCIN and APTR awarded TV series, and various independent theater productions, some selected/awarded in Festco. During the years spent in Hollywood, Ana collaborated with some of the most important stage directors in LA and up and coming film directors, having several shorts selected and awarded in Short Corner, Cannes, LA Film Independent etc. while the feature, Induced Effect nominated at London International Picture Awards forBest Theatrical Released& Narrative Comedy streams on Amazon Prime. She also performed as a series regular in 2 TV pilots and the miniseries Upstart (Twitch TV). Currently Ana can be seen on Bucharest‟s stages in The Approach directed by Peter Kerek at Art Theater, Hasteg directed by Dana Rotaru at Teatrelli and was invited to attend the MXT Program, ran by Harvard University, Boston.
